This being an optional assignment made it sort of difficult to find the time to complete, especially at the end of the semester if I’m being honest. Another thing that limited me was trying to complete most of the shots during the day because I didn’t have the luxury of completing them in the well lit studio. But once I started planning everything out and putting everything together, I found the motivation and passion from the last time I did this assignment. I love the process of it all and being able to play around with different angles and filters to apply and be able to get a specific mood across. My favorite images are the products with no models but more specifically the Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider just because of the before and after images. I loved how I was able to make the apple’s look so vibrant and contrast the green bottle, definitely one of my favorite’s. The conceptual ideas were always something I struggled with so I tried to make the images and idea more clear and thoughtful this time. The product shots with the models were the most fun, especially with the UNO image because laughing while playing this game with my family is really how we play, it’s alway’s a fun time. This project and class has made me more determined to continue finding out more about this passion and practice more while in quarantine. It is an experience I will forever be grateful for! 🙂
